Work is underway to create a new Costa Coffee Drive-Thru store at Marina Quay Retail Park in Rhyl after Denbighshire County Council and Rhyl Town Council gave Scarborough Development Group (SDG) the green light late last year to build the new store.
The new 1,800 sq ft single-storey Drive-Thru store with associated landscaping and parking is expected to open later this year, creating 11 full-time jobs.
The planned store is one of the last remaining vacant plots at the 105,000 sq ft retail and leisure park, following a string of recent lettings to separate national retailers.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said:
“We’re excited to be opening our first Costa Coffee Drive-Thru in Rhyl and hope that this new store provides the perfect opportunity for those on-the-go coffee lovers to pick-up and enjoy their favourite Costa coffee while out and about in the local community.”
Jack Abou-Jaoude, Senior Development Manager at SDG, added:
“Despite the Pandemic, Marina Quay continues to go from strength to strength, with numerous retailers having signed up in recent months. Our ongoing investment in the park demonstrates our continuing confidence in its offer.”
Shaun Welsh, Commercial Director at Trojan Group, commented:
“We’re delighted to have been awarded this project to build a Costa Coffee Drive-Thru store at Marina Quay and we look forward to handing the building over later this year.”
