Redsun Projects has appointed Triton Construction as main contractor to deliver Knowsley Hub, a new 50,000 sq ft trade counter scheme on Knowsley Industrial Estate in Merseyside.
Redsun completed the acquisition of the three-acre site from Knowsley Council and secured planning for the scheme in April this year. Designed and project managed by C4 Projects, the development comprises seven units ranging in size from 8,000 sq ft up to 10,000 sq ft. The wider team includes Muir Consulting as engineer consultant and UCML as utilities consultant.
Avison Young and B8 Real Estate are joint letting agents for the scheme. A pre-let has already been agreed with Howdens Joinery for 10,000 sq ft accommodation.
Speaking about the appointment, Nick Wightman, director at Redsun Projects, commented: “We have made sound progress at Knowsley. Vacancy levels in the area are at an all-time low, further demonstrated by the high level of enquiries we’ve received. Working with Triton, we’re aiming to make a start on site in October with completion due for April next year.”
Chris Quinn, Regional Director at Triton: “This marks the first project that we have worked on with Redsun. Over the last 16 years, we have built a solid reputation in constructing high quality industrial schemes across the north for our clients and we look forward to delivering Knowsley Hub to the same excellent standard.”
