The Knightsbridge Estate has announced the opening of a new Burberry flagship store at No.1 Sloane Street. The iconic British luxury brand is the first tenant to open in the 340,000 sq ft redevelopment at the northern end of The Estate.
The development, designed by Fletcher Priest, transforms an iconic corner of Knightsbridge to deliver a brand-new mixed-use scheme behind retained period façades, preserving the unique character of the area. The development once fully complete delivers seven large retail units, a 67,000 sq ft office building, 33 apartments and a rooftop restaurant. To date three of the seven flagship stores have been pre-let.
Jonathan Shelton, MD Real Estate Europe, The Olayan Group, comments: “We are absolutely delighted that Burberry has chosen The Knightsbridge Estate as the location for its new flagship store, and are joining our thriving community.”
Marco Gobbetti, Burberry Chief Executive Officer, added: “Our new flagship store at No.1 Sloane Street is a manifestation of all that is Burberry: authentic, bold, elevated, with creativity at its core. An iconic destination in the heart of Knightsbridge, London, it is the first to carry our new global store concept, providing a uniquely British luxury setting for our local and international customers to explore our brand and products. We’re excited to welcome our customers to this new home for our brand that connects our past, present and future.”
