The leading Yorkshire printing company Hague Group is expanding into larger premises in Normanton, near Wakefield.
Hague Group has acquired Premier House in Normanton which is a 37,000 sq ft warehouse unit located close to Junction 31 of the M62. The price in a private deal was undisclosed.
The deal was brokered by the award-winning Leeds industrial team of global property consultancy Knight Frank.
Iain McPhail, partner and head of Knight Frank’s industrial property team in Leeds, explained: “This superb 37,000 sq ft modern high-bay warehouse will facilitate Hague Group’s exciting new expansion plans and is situated just around the corner from their present premises on the Normanton Industrial Estate, so is ideal for staff.
“The building is set to undergo significant renovation during the next few months to create the perfect workplace for the future of the business,” said Mr McPhail. “Hague Group had been searching for the right premises to relocate to for some time and with freehold stock hard to come by and highly competitive, we were delighted to identify and acquire Premier House on behalf of our client.”
Nathan Wain, managing director of Hague Group, commented: “This is a very significant move for us and opens up an exciting new chapter in the proud history of Hague Group. The warehouse doubles our current warehousing capacity and marks the beginning of our next period of growth. We believe our future is very bright and the new building puts Hague on the front foot post-pandemic.
“We aim to transfer into Premier House by the end of the year and will be looking to recruit new warehouse and sales staff and to help with our expansion plans. In the meantime, we’d like to thank the hard work of the Knight Frank Leeds team, who have assisted us to find the perfect premises”.
Privately owned and a founder member of the Independent Print Industries Association, Hague Group offers an extensive range of business printing solutions.
Knight Frank Leeds acted for the purchaser and Sanderson Weatherall advised the vendor.
