Electric Center, a leading electrical wholesaler with over 80 branch locations in the UK, has recently acquired a new trade counter unit fronting the busy Ocean Way.
Their new 9,500 sq ft property forms part of the popular Quay Point estate which was developed by current owner Emvic Developments over 10 years ago. They join other occupiers on the estate such as Gallery Loft Conversions, Madol, Rico Logistics and TTC, who recently moved into 2,500 sq ft office space.
The new location on the Quay Point estate will service Electric Center customers old and new in the South Wales area. They have agreed a new 10 year lease on this detached unit and following a significant fit out will take occupation in the New Year.
Giles Day, Manager of Electric Center’s new Cardiff location comments; “When I joined the business earlier this year we immediately focused on building on our strong brand and this required a relocation to a more prominent and visible location. Ocean Park is a popular location with good road access and we felt it was important to have a presence here so that we could provide an improved level of service to our customers.”
The letting was negotiated for the landlord by the Cardiff office of Knight Frank and Associate, Neil Francis adds, “The unit was vacated in September so to secure a tenant this quickly represents a good result for my client. The estate is now at full occupancy and the presence of another established trade counter occupier on Ocean Way can only benefit the area as a whole”.
