Leading commercial real estate developer Network Space has let the final two units of Element on Alchemy Business Park, Knowsley, to eStar Truck and Van Ltd.
The Mercedes-Benz franchisee and commercial vehicle specialist is taking both Element 1 (22,946 sq. ft) and Element 3 (45,586 sq. ft) – a total letting of 68,532 sq. ft on 15-year terms.
Element is the second phase of development at Alchemy Business Park, located adjacent to the A580 East Lancashire Road and just half a mile from Junction 4 of the M57.
eStar holds the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle franchise for the North West and North Wales and will be setting up a new dealership at Element to include class-leading workshops, as well as head office space. Element 1 will be used for vans and Element 3 dedicated to trucks. Element 2 is currently occupied by a global online retailer.
As they establish their new North West dealership at Element, eStar is at the forefront of the switch from diesel to electric powered commercial vehicles such as the fully electric, zero-emission Mercedes-Benz eVito and eSprinter vans.
Joe Burnett, Development Director at Network Space, said: “Alchemy Business Park is fast becoming one of the North West’s premier employment sites. This significant letting means that Element is now 100% occupied and eStar is an exciting business that will bring a wealth of job and inward investment opportunities to the region.
“We are delighted that the deal has been agreed on both units with a business that will help to strengthen the North West’s growing reputation as a green industry hub.”
Sid Sadique, Chairman at eStar, said: “We’re pleased to announce this latest investment in the eStar journey, establishing the business as the leading Mercedes-Benz truck and van dealer in the country.
The team, led by Steve Bridge the managing director, are setting new standards of customer service, and the new footprint at Knowsley will be the first of its kind in Europe. The new development, which is expected to launch towards the end of the year, will be housing separate van and truck workshops, providing customer experience and service of the highest standard.”
Element was delivered in partnership with Knowsley Council and Liverpool City Region.
Agents for Element were CBRE and B8RE. Construction partners for the development were Caddick Construction.
