A steel fabricating business is set to create ten jobs across the next year after expanding into new premises in Worcestershire, in a deal arranged by John Truslove.
The leading commercial property specialist helped Ridgesteel Fabrications Ltd of Worcester secure the 11,675 sq ft factory warehouse at Unit 4 in Schofield Business Park, on Sugarbrook Road in Bromsgrove.
The letting has brought praise from the landlord after Ridgesteel’s directors were shown around within three hours of John Truslove being instructed to market the unit, with all terms agreed within 24 hours.
Ridgesteel, which currently employs 19 staff, offers a range of steel fabrications and metalwork services, from providing structural steel for the construction industry to managing specialised projects.
Gavin Nunn, managing director of Ridgesteel, said: “We’re really pleased with the extra premises John Truslove found us on the Schofield Business Park which will enable our capacity to increase from 50 tonnes to 100 tonnes of steel a week.
“This will result in us immediately taking on another five workers, and hopefully another five on top of that in the next 12 months as we continue to expand.”
Andrew Schofield, director of the landlord, Schofield Properties Ltd, said: “We were impressed with the very speedy action we saw from Ian Parker at John Truslove.
“When we approached him about putting the unit on the market, he said he had someone who’d recently come to him looking for such premises, but we never imagined a deal could be done so fast.
“It just shows what good contacts John Truslove has across the local marketplace, with detailed knowledge on who needs what kind of premises.
“John Truslove is always the name to go to in our area, and we’ll certainly be using them again when we have other properties available.”
Ian Parker, joint managing director of John Truslove, said: “We like to act fast for clients, and so we work hard to know who’s got what and who wants what across Worcestershire.
“We have been advising Schofield Properties Ltd on various projects for many years and I provided them initial marketing advice in November, when they decided to let this unit.
“We were then instructed in mid-December, and because I knew Ridgesteel needed premises of that size and location I showed them round less than three hours later, agreeing terms with 24 hours.
“Unit 4 in Schofield Business Park is laid out ideally for heavy metal fabrication and because we had been speaking to Ridgesteel for about six months trying to find them suitable premises we were able to put the two together immediately.”
Mr Parker added: “We take pride in the fact that no-one knows our marketplace better than us, and this expertise always enables us to quickly match tenants to buildings.
“We recommend and encourage anyone looking to relocate to pick up the phone and speak to us to ensure they don’t miss out on buildings that may never actually openly come onto the market.”
Solicitors Higgs and Sons, acting on behalf of the landlords, were able to quickly turn the legal documents around.
