An established family office, advised by Compton and Cushman & Wakefield, has let 18,000 sq ft of office accommodation at 25 Settles Street, Whitechapel, London, E1 to The Department for Work & Pensions.
The Government department has taken the self-contained space on the lower ground, ground and 1st floors of the four-storey property on a new ten-year lease at an annual rent of £900,000 (£50 psf). The property was acquired in 2018 and has since been comprehensively refurbished, taking into account the architecture, location and context of the building, to provide a state of the art facility.

“Whitechapel itself is one of the most exciting districts of the City Fringe. The imminent arrival of the Elizabeth Line will add to the area’s connectivity and this is attracting occupiers who were traditionally in more Core locations,” he added.
