Dun & Bradstreet (D&B UK), the world’s leading source of business information and insight has confirmed its commitment to retain a strong presence in Cardiff, which will safeguard forty-five jobs.
Welsh Government Business Minister Edwina Hart welcomed the news when she opened their new offices in Cardiff today and described it as an important boost for the financial and professional services sector – a key growth area for the Welsh economy.
D&B made its initial investment in Wales in 2009 through the acquisition of ICC UK Ltd and its UK property portfolio that included its Cardiff Crwys House office. Following a review of this portfolio, D&B embarked on a process of site consolidation around the UK with a number of teams relocating to other offices.
The decision to retain its presence in Cardiff was underpinned by a significant investment in purpose-designed offices in Longcross Court which was supported by the Welsh Government with business finance.
Mrs Hart said: “D&B is a world renowned business and I am pleased the Welsh Government has been able to help it make a long-term investment in Wales. It joins a growing cluster of successful companies in our financial and professional services sector.”
Roger Hodson, Managing Director, Dun & Bradstreet UK Ltd said:” D&B is delighted to be committing to a continued presence in Wales. In Cardiff we have access to a strong pool of talent, excellent communication links and a great environment for our team members.”
Chris Nott, chair of the Welsh Government’s Financial and Professional Services Advisory Panel, said: “D&B is a world class business, sharing business information around the globe which helps to stimulate sustainable economic growth. Their commitment to Cardiff reflects the growing number of international finance houses that have a base in the city.”
