Tritax Symmetry, Tritax Big Box’s dedicated logistics development company, has appointed Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd (Buckingham) to undertake the infrastructure works at its logistics park at Symmetry Park, Kettering, after gaining reserved matters planning consent for the initial phase.
Located on Junction 9 of A14, the Park has outline consent for up to 2.3 million sq ft in total and can deliver a single building of 1.3 million sq ft. Buckingham is now on site delivering a fully serviced plateau of 90 acres, with estate road and utilities to suit a range of build to suit requirements.
Situated directly alongside the A14 “Trans-European” freight route at Junction 9, the site offers prominence for occupiers and excellent transport links to the national motorway and trunk road network. Neighbouring occupiers to the site include Weetablix, Morrisons and Knights of Old Group.
Speaking about the progress, Jonathan Wallis, development director at Tritax Symmetry, commented: “This marks another important step forward for our portfolio. The infrastructure works will be completed early next year meaning we can deliver new logistics buildings of up to 1.3 million sqft by the end 2022.”
