Property consultancy, Vail Williams, has appointed Jason Kidd as a senior surveyor to its valuation team to support the firm’s continued growth in Sussex.
An experienced surveyor, Jason joins Vail Williams from Mann Smith Chartered Surveyors in London, where he spent seven years specialising in property valuation and lease advisory work.
A RICS Registered Valuer, Jason has been involved in commercial, residential and development valuations for a number of purposes, including secured lending, accounting and tax, predominantly in the London and the south east.
His appointment will see the firm grow its valuation offering and follows on from two further additions to the valuation team, as Vail Williams continues to extend its stronghold on the south coast property market.
Peter Sudworth, partner at Vail Williams, explains: “We are pleased to welcome Jason to the team, bringing with him in-depth experience of the local greater Brighton property market. His appointment sees us strengthen the multi-regional valuation teams spread across the South Coast, Surrey and Sussex regions, which will enable us to better service our investment and portfolio clients here, and their banks.”
Vail Williams, which has eight offices across the south east and south coast, has witnessed a resurgence in the property markets here in recent months, particularly in Sussex and the greater Brighton area, which are now moving forwards from COVID-19.
“As more people are released from working in London, this is having a positive effect on both the commercial and residential property market in Sussex. Businesses are setting up smaller satellite offices here, and more people are moving out of living in London, to places like Brighton. This represents a real opportunity for us as a firm, as well as for our clients, and we are pleased to be investing in our team in line with this.”
In support of this market resurgence, Jason will be responsible for commercial and residential valuations across the Sussex area, focusing specifically on the Brighton market, where he will provide in-depth valuation reports and advice for loan security, accounting and tax purposes for private clients and lenders.
Speaking of his appointment, Jason concluded: “I have been impressed by the growth of Vail Williams, particularly throughout the pandemic, and was even more impressed by the culture that has been created here. The firm has a strong focus on staff development and an ethical approach to doing business, making it the perfect environment in which to develop and forge a successful career. I am looking forward to furthering the firm’s influence in the Brighton area over the coming years.”
Jason will be joined by Matt King, recently appointed as property administration coordinator to support the firm’s growing business space agency instructions. Matt will be based at Vail Williams’ Crawley office, meanwhile, Jason will be based at the firm’s footprint office in Brighton.
