Work has commenced on the construction of a prestigious retail scheme at Princess Alice Drive, Sutton Coldfield. The site is being developed by a joint venture between Trebor Developments LLP and Hortons’ Estate Limited following on from their highly successful development of Hagley Road Retail Park in 2011.
AR Demolition has been appointed to undertake the demolition and site clearance works which will open up the site in readiness for the main build contract which will commence in spring 2013.
The scheme already benefits from lettings to American Golf and Greggs and further occupier announcements are expected prior to the main contract starting on site.
Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner of Trebor Developments, commented on behalf of the JV:
“It is great to see work commence on our second high profile site. It has taken us over a year to conclude the scheme design and obtain detailed planning consent but we are delighted with the result. The completion of the demolition works will transform the profile and visibility the site.
We expect to acquire further sites in the near future, he added. ”
Trebor/Hortons are represented for retail lettings by Bartlett Property & Gerald Eve, Birmingham Office, where units from 3,000 sq ft remain available.
