Senior living developer Charterpoint has handed over its latest care home development after the completion of Fosse Way View in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.
Specialist care and nursing home construction company Lawrence Baker built the 70-bed home which will be operated by HC-One.
Representatives from Lawrence Baker handed over the building to Charterpoint Senior Living, which in turn handed the keys to care home operator HC-One.
Charterpoint director Giles Nursey said: “We are thrilled to see the completion of Fosse Way View – a superb, modern care home which we will be an asset to the town of Bingham. Charterpoint specialises in developing first-class senior living facilities across the UK and it is a proud moment for us to complete a development just a few miles from our headquarters in Edwalton.
“Contractor Lawrence Baker has done a sterling job to keep the project on track, despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic. We are delighted to hand over to HC-One to enable fit-out before Fosse Way View opens shortly to residents.”
Fosse Way View has been built on the site of a former police station in Grantham Road, Bingham – easily accessible to the town centre and close to community facilities.
Residents can choose one of four independent living communities, depending on the level of residential and memory care required to meet their needs. The care home will feature a range of superb facilities, including Buttercross Bistro, the Robin Hood Picture House and the Belvoir Hair and Beauty Salon.
It will be HC-One’s second care home in Bingham. The company, which offers professional residential, nursing and memory care for older people in over 300 care homes located across England, Scotland and Wales, already runs Beauvale in Moor Lane, Bingham, which has a carehome.co.uk rating of 9.3 out of ten.
Tracey Tomlins, Managing Director at HC-One, said: “We are now closer than ever to opening the doors of Fosse Way View. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in getting us to where we are now.
“We are excited to formally open next month and we are really looking forward to welcoming our new Residents, their loved ones and our Colleague team and providing high-quality, person-centred care at Fosse Way View.”
A Fund managed by TIME Investments, part of the Alpha Real Capital Group, has acquired the investment of Fosse Way View from Charterpoint.
James Murray, at Alpha Real Capital Group, said: “The home is impressive and a credit to all the team involved. The home will provide best in class facilities for the people of Bingham and surrounding area. Fosse Way View represents an important investment for TIME:Social Long Income and adds to its diverse range of social real estate assets.”
