Commercial property specialist Kingsbridge Estates has announced two key senior appointments as it steps up its programme of investment and development in the South.
The company, which invests in and creates high-quality industrial, warehouse, office and mixed-use developments, has welcomed Jeremy Sharland as Development Director and Greg Lukasiewicz as Investment Director.
Jeremy is a regeneration and urban projects specialist with decades of experience in delivering major commercial and mixed-use schemes.
He was previously a senior member of the delivery team at Quintain, where he was a key player in large developments including the delivery of more than 8,000 homes at Wembley Park, then the UK’s largest build-to-rent project.
Previously, during 15 years in the real estate advisory team at London-based DTZ, he initiated and enabled a range of regeneration schemes and urban developments in the UK and overseas. He was a core member of the professional team advising SEGRO on the new masterplan for the Slough Trading Estate that sought to re-purpose the 100-year-old estate to meet the changing demands of businesses.
He also advised a range of global corporate occupiers as well as numerous Local Authorities including Birmingham City Council on the redevelopment of the former MG Rover car plant at Longbridge, which has become a modern business park with a focus on innovation and technology.
Most recently he was responsible for the delivery of the 400-hectare Jeddah North development, a major residential and mixed-use development in Saudi Arabia.
In his new role, Jeremy will oversee the delivery of Kingsbridge Estates’ planning and development projects, including the company’s newest schemes at Spring Business Park and New Lane, Havant, while seeking out new acquisition and development opportunities across the South.
He said: “Kingsbridge Estates has established an enviable reputation for delivering commercial developments, helping to meet the high demand for quality workspaces in the South.”
“I am excited to join the Kingsbridge Estates team and to work on a varied and dynamic portfolio of projects in support of the business’s clear ambition to be the leading commercial developer in the region.”
Greg joins Kingsbridge Estates after seven years in a fund management position at London-based LaSalle Investment Management, where he completed over £500m of capital transactions covering most sectors and regions across the UK. Prior to LaSalle, Greg trained and qualified as a quantity surveyor and so is well placed to lead on the acquisition of development opportunities. As Investment Director, he will be responsible for driving the business’s investment, acquisition and sales strategy.
He said: “I am pleased to be joining the team as the business ramps up its investment and development activity. The South is teeming with opportunities and I look forward to playing my part in the continued growth and success of Kingsbridge Estates.”
Chris Fry, Chief Executive, Kingsbridge Estates, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jeremy and Greg to our senior team. Both are a great fit for our business, and their experience and expertise will support our continued growth in the South as a leading investor and developer of high-quality commercial, office and mixed-use spaces.”
