Cardiff headquartered solicitors, NewLaw, continues its rapid expansion with the appointment of a new solicitor to boost the firm’s medical negligence team.
Nicola Davies, 46 and lives in Porthcawl, has more than 20 years’ experience working for law firms in London and South Wales. She joins NewLaw to work with clients who have suffered serious injuries as a result of medical accidents.
She will be responsible for developing the firm’s capacity to handle specialist clinical negligence claims from negligent surgery including cosmetic surgery and laser eye treatment, failure to diagnose medical conditions and to obtain the patient’s informed consent for a medical procedure.
Speaking about her appointment, Nicola said: “NewLaw is a firm that’s growing quickly and I was attracted to the company because of the quality of the work it does.
“Clinical negligence is about making a difference to people’s lives who may have suffered wrongly and it’s a chance to go some way to put things right. I’m pleased to be able to work with a company that offers the whole package to its clients, including welfare support which many other firms don’t do.”
Helen Molyneux, CEO of NewLaw, said: “Nicola is going to be instrumental in helping us grow our clinical negligence specialism. With a wealth of experience behind her she’ll be a valuable member of our personal injuries team.”
