Property consultancy Harris Lamb has announced two new appointments to its Planning department as the business continues to expand.
Despite the challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic, the business has maintained operations throughout, and has recruited two new positions in recent weeks due to the continued demand for planning services.
Chris Hammersley has joined the business as a Senior Planner along with Josie Hobbs, who has been appointed as a Graduate Planner.
Chris brings 20 years’ experience to the team, having gained five years’ planning application experience for Local Planning Authorities and the private sector, together with 15 years working in planning enforcement for local authorities in the Midlands and the North-West.
Josie joins from Dalcour Maclaren in Cirencester, having graduated from Harper Adams University with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, which saw her focus on Worcester Six Technology Park as her Honours research project and complete a summer work placement at Harris Lamb.
Patrick Downes, Head of Harris Lamb Planning Consultancy said: “The past 12 months has seen a lot of change within the property sector, and not all as a result of Covid-19. There have been numerous changes to the planning system in terms of changes of use, and we have been incredibly busy pushing forward with clients’ proposals.
“As such we have appointed Chris and Josie to provide additional support to our nationwide client network, advising on planning matters and liaising with authorities around the country. We are delighted that the sector has continued to thrive, and that we’ve been able to grow our talented team of planning professionals,” he added.
