Vail Williams has appointed senior surveyor Holly Vos – a milestone appointment which sees the property consultancy triple its Woking-based team in just three years.
Holly, a chartered building surveyor, joins Vail Williams from independent London practice, Palmer Glew Ltd, having previously worked at the City offices of GVA (now Avison Young) and Cushman & Wakefield.
She brings with her in-depth experience in building consultancy services, managing a range of multi-million-pound refurbishment projects – from offices to more unusual projects, including the conversion of a bowling alley into a logistics warehouse.
In her new role at Vail Williams, Holly will provide a range of building surveying and project management services to clients including investors, landlords and occupiers of commercial property.
Geoff Fallon, Vail Williams’ regional managing partner for Surrey, said: “Holly’s appointment comes at a busy time for our team as we help occupiers, landlords and investors across Surrey and Sussex to plan and deliver new workplaces fit for the future.
“Having a building consultancy and project management expert on the ground more permanently in Surrey, will enable us to grow our building consultancy work across the south east whilst delivering on the client excellence that is so important to us as a business.”
Since moving to One Crown Square in Woking, Vail Williams has grown a 20-strong multi-disciplinary team which has acted on several major projects in the region, including the relocation and project management of Hyundai’s new 17,000 sq ft headquarters in Leatherhead; the £15.9m acquisition of Dakota building by Surrey County Council in Weybridge; and the multi-million pound new Surrey Police headquarter building in Leatherhead.
“Holly’s experience in providing pre-acquisition advice to purchasers of office and industrial units predominately within the M25 area, including several listed buildings, as well as her ability to provide dilapidations advice and negotiate settlements for both occupiers and landlords of commercial property, makes her an extremely valuable hire and we are delighted to welcome her to the team,” added Geoff.
Speaking of her appointment, Holly concluded: “I am thrilled to be joining Vail Williams at such an exciting time of growth for the business. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team and to bringing a permanent building consultancy presence to the firm’s Surrey office.”
Holly started on 19 April.
