The Office Agency team at CBRE in Liverpool has secured a flurry of new occupiers at the iconic Royal Liver Building, with all office suites on the 10,200 sq ft mezzanine floor now fully let, despite a challenging climate. Catering and events company Relish has also completed an agreement to operate the ground floor café and central bar within a circa 4,500 sq ft seating area.
The landmark building has undergone a major repositioning programme with refurbishment now complete to provide state of the art, Grade A offices, amenities and facilities and as a result is now home to six new businesses.
CBRE has secured deals with Open Media, an established Outdoor media company in the UK, which has taken 2,250 sq ft of space; leading food, pharma and advanced manufacturing project delivery firm SEP Professionals Services has signed up for 2,612 sq ft; whilst Axia Media, a bespoke accountancy firm has taken 2,155 sq ft. Film production company Culture City has taken 635 sq ft and ISM Sports Limited has agreed terms on 2,594 sq ft to complete the deals activity on the mezzanine floor.
Relish will launch its food and drink offer at the Royal Liver Building in 2021 subject to Covid restrictions.
Once home to the Royal Liver Assurance Group, the building was sold in 2017 to Corestate Capital Purpose for the first time in its 106-year history leading to its major makeover to provide first class space to meet the demands and needs of modern occupiers.
Along with the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building, the Royal Liver is one of the world famous Three Graces and fronts the world-renowned Liverpool waterfront which has proved a huge draw for businesses to locate to.
The building now offers Grade A office accommodation from 559 sq ft small suites to whole floors totaling 29,800 sq ft with the added value of giving occupiers the opportunity to create their own bespoke office space. In addition to being situated in one of the world’s most prestigious and recognisable buildings, tenants also benefit from first class amenities and facilities including a new basement wellbeing and fitness centre, which will house an on site gym once Covid restrictions change, cycle storage, a café/bar, as well as informal and formal meeting space.
Andy Byrne, Director, CBRE commented:
