Lincolnshire chartered surveyors Banks Long & Co have welcomed 3 new surveyors to their team over the last month, as well as awarding an internal promotion, as the business continues to grow.
This has coincided with the recent relaunch of the company, which introduced 4 specialist divisions: Building & Cost Consultancy, Commercial Property Agency, Development & Investment Consultancy, and Management & Professional Services.
Tim Bradford, Managing Director, says, “Year on year our client base is growing, and demand for our services is increasing. Classifying our 4 divisions, and strengthening them with experienced employees, both current and new, has been a priority for us. We’re delighted to have attracted 3 new highly skilled members of staff in such a short space of time.”
The newly recruited surveyors include Shaun Cook and Charlie Johnson, both of whom are part of the Building & Cost Consultancy team.
Shaun has worked in Property Surveying and Consultancy for over 12 years, and notably was involved in every stage of the development and construction of the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln.
Charlie graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2011 with a degree in Building Surveying and has since worked across the East Midlands area. His broad experience includes work for a housing association and the National Trust.
Harry Collins has also joined the company whilst in the final stages of completing his degree. Working in the industry and studying the industry at the same time has given him a comprehensive insight into the profession, and a clear vision of how he will progress his career. He aims to sit his Assessment of Professional Competence exam in 2022.
In this, he will be guided by current employee Harriet Hatcher, who has recently been promoted to Senior Surveyor, as well as acting as an APC Mentor, Supervisor and Assessor at Banks Long & Co. She has a degree in Real Estate and has been working in the property sector in a range of capacities since she was just 14.
Harriet says, “I enjoy the variety of projects I see across the county, and the country, and assisting people in moving forward in whatever way they need to.”Tim continues, “We’re very pleased to be able to promote Harriet, who is an extremely valuable member of our team, as well as welcome our 3 new employees. Each brings different knowledge and experience, but all bring a commitment and passion to the business and the industry.”
