Property consultancy, Vail Williams, has appointed James Newton as a surveyor to its growing business space team in Reading following a string of recent appointments.
James, an experienced surveyor and commercial property agent, joins Vail Williams from Lambert Smith Hampton where he spent four years specialising in the acquisition and disposal of commercial property across the Thames Valley.
In his new role, James will focus on the acquisition and disposal of office and industrial property premises, helping occupiers to secure new premises in line with their business objectives, and landlords to achieve the best possible leasehold market exposure and financial terms.
Guy Parkes, partner in the business space team at Vail Williams’ Reading office, said: “We are delighted to welcome James at what is a busy time for our team, as businesses plan for a return to the workplace. We recognise that there is huge growth potential in the Thames Valley office market and continue to invest in our people and resources to help our clients achieve their new workplace strategies quickly and efficiently.”
Vail Williams, based at Thames Valley Park in Reading, has experienced an influx of new instructions as businesses seek a return to the workplace, with particular growth in the logistics and e-commerce sectors.
Speaking of his appointment, James concluded: “I am excited to be joining such a progressive business as Vail Williams at a time of growth and opportunity for the firm. Their values and focus on client excellence resonated with me and I am looking forward to delivering on this for clients, in my new role with their business space team.”
James started on 19 April and will be based at the firm’s Reading office.
