LBS Properties, advised by Compton and Allsop, has pre-let 5,500 sq ft of office space at HKR Hoxton, 211 Hackney Road, London E2 to Courier Media who were advised by Kontor.
Part of a mixed-use development that provides 83 residences, the ground floor office property has been taken on a new 5-year lease
The letting to Courier Media was completed in advance of the practical completion of the ten-storey development.
Elliott Stern of joint letting agent Compton said: “As a publishing house that is focused on young entrepreneurs, Courier Media were searching for a modern, high-quality and prominent property in a location that reflected its own brand. HKR was the perfect solution, providing an open plan creative space that is both flexible and easily adaptable. Courier Media has some exciting plans that include a coffee shop that will be open to staff and members of the public.
“The scheme is now finished, and we look forward to securing a suitable neighbour for Courier in the final unit of circa 4,500.”
James Neville of Allsop highlighted, ‘’We received strong competition during the lockdown period where we had a number of studio requirements also looking to secure premises close their home environment and within close proximity to the Shoreditch lifestyle.“
Jack Fryer of Kontor added, “Glad to have secured Courier their exciting new home. After a number of Covid compliant virtual tours and Zoom debates, HKR was selected as the front-runner due to its vibrant location and quality finishes. It is an exciting time for Courier to be able to reimagine the office with a forward-thinking mix of collaboration, casual working, event and studio space – continuing the trend of businesses selecting high-quality spaces for staff to return to post lockdown.”
Nick Crawford of LBS Properties said: “We are delighted to welcome Courier to HKR Hoxton. We always felt that the prominence and quality of the development would provide a great home to a dynamic and design-conscious occupier, and we are excited to see Courier make the space their own.”
