Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Daniel Woolston as a partner within its investment management team, building on the firm’s expertise as a leading advisor on private equity transactions within the real estate sector.
Daniel joins the firm from Greenberg Traurig, where he worked as a partner specialising in structured corporate transactions for real estate investors, asset managers, developers, lenders, private equity funds and family offices. His areas of focus included joint ventures, structured acquisitions and disposals, management agreements, management incentive plans and W&I insurance.
Throughout his almost 15-year career, Daniel has advised a number of leading international finance and development companies. These include advising Starwood on its joint venture with Lendlease in respect of the £3.5bn Silvertown development site; advising Lands Improvement and Telereal Trillium on their joint venture for the Houghton Regis development site; advising Brockton Capital on its joint venture with STT in respect of UK data centres; and advising Cromwell European REIT on the acquisition of a portfolio of offices.
AG’s global real estate team includes over 260 legal professionals working across three continents, including offices in the UK, France, Paris, Dubai and Singapore. The firm acts for over 800 real estate clients globally as well as nine out of ten of the UK’s top asset managers.
