St. Modwen Logistics has completed a deal with ecommerce fulfilment solutions provider, Super Smart Service (SSS), at its 50-acre logistics development in Burton-upon-Trent.
SSS has signed a 15-year lease on a 103,947 sq ft warehouse at St. Modwen Park Burton, which is already home to a number of established occupiers including Hellman Worldwide Logistics, Keylite Roof Windows, Supply Technologies, and London City Bond.
Providing reliable fulfilment warehousing solutions and last mile distribution services for companies which sell on eBay and Amazon, the global logistics solutions provider will use the space as a distribution centre. Operating nine sites across the West Midlands and Staffordshire, the business has more than 500 employees, with more jobs being created in 2021 as a result of the move to St. Modwen Park Burton.
SSS’s parent company, Fujian Zongteng Network Co. Ltd, currently operates 95 chartered airfreight lines and has warehouses in China, the United States, Australia and Germany, employing more than 3,600 people worldwide.
Speculatively built by St. Modwen, the new unit provides SSS with 12.5m eaves height, 10 dock level access doors, Grade A offices, and 117 car parking spaces within the landscaped business park.
Situated within three miles of Burton-upon-Trent town centre, St. Modwen Park Burton is strategically located with direct access to the A38, connecting the site to the A50 and the major motorway network including the M1, M6, M6 (Toll), and M42.
Polly Troughton, Managing Director at St. Modwen Logistics, said: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming Super Smart Service to the line-up of businesses that have based themselves at St. Modwen Park Burton.
