Flude Property Consultants (FPC) have announced the letting of circa 10,000 sq ft of brand new office accommodation to The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The DWP have taken units 2 and 3 at the scheme. FPC acted for the landlord Newman Developments Ltd and Cushman & Wakefield acted for the DWP.
Southern Gate was developed in the last 2 years and comprises three buildings totalling 15,000 sq ft with each unit being approximately 5,000 sq ft each. It forms part of a much wider office park which has been constructed by the same developer since the year 2000 comprising seven buildings and some 135,000 sq ft in total.
Mark Minchell, Director and lead agent in Flude’s Chichester team commented, ‘Southern Gate is the most recent purpose built office scheme in the city and this letting reflects the success of this speculative development. Occupiers are increasingly requiring a better working environment and Southern Gate offers this’.
