DTZ, a UGL company, alongside joint agent BE Group, has secured a letting at Spencer House in Birchwood, Warrington.
National infrastructure group, Balfour Beatty has agreed a lease on office accommodation comprising 10,480 sq ft in a 70:30 joint venture with Mott MacDonald. The letting follows the recent Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald contract win from the Highways Agency.
Simon Roddam, Senior Surveyor at DTZ in Manchester, commented: “This letting further contributes to the improving office take up in Warrington, which sits at approximately 159,000 sq ft at the close of the third quarter of 2012. Warrington has more or less matched the take up achieved at the same point in 2011. However, with a number of sizeable transactions due to complete this side of Christmas, there are clear signs of improvement in what has been a difficult period.”
Jos Baxendell, of BE Group, added: “This is the second largest office letting in Warrington this year so far. The excellent car parking on offer at Spencer House, together with its proximity to the shopping centre and train station appealed to the new tenant.”
The building, which is owned by Redefine International PLC, the linked income focused property investment company, offers 50,000 sq ft of office accommodation over 2 floors, arranged around two landscaped courtyards. DTZ and BE Group are jointly marketing the building.
