Four new occupiers have agreed terms to take space at Guinness Road Trading Estate, Trafford Park.
In total, JLL North West’s industrial and logistics agency team has let more than 42,225 sq ft of space across the 12-month period, with only one unit now remaining at the site.
Existing occupier Gottlieb Packaging Materials has taken 7,802 sq ft at the scheme on a three-year lease. KBF Enterprises – a supplier of supplements and sports nutrition products – and confectionery wholesaler Worldwide Confectionery have taken two units each at the estate.
KBF, also an existing tenant, has taken almost 20,000 sq ft total across units 3 and 4, and Worldwide Confectionery will occupy almost 15,000 sq ft across units 16 and 17 on a 10-year lease.
John Whitehurst, a surveyor in JLL North West’s industrial and logistics team, commented: “This spate of lettings highlights the strength of occupier demand on Trafford Park for good quality units, and also reinforces the continued growth of the I&L sector.
“The north west’s I&L market is particularly buoyant, and welcoming new occupiers to the estate along with expanding tenants across four separate deals demonstrates business confidence despite COVID and Brexit.
“It’s great to see existing occupiers reaffirming commitment to the scheme. The final remaining unit at Guinness Road is currently undergoing refurbishment, and we have no doubt that occupier interest will be high once it is brought to the market.”
“The current supply shortage and limited development pipeline will keep vacancy rates low and increase rental levels, so we’re confident in the continued success of the industry as we move out of the pandemic,” concluded John.
In total, Trafford Park is home to over 1,330 businesses, employing in excess of 35,000 people. Leading global brands including Kellogg’s, L’Oréal, Manchester United FC, Peel Group and Procter & Gamble operate out of the park, with infrastructure in place to support SMEs too.
The owner of Guinness Road Trading Estate, Federated Hermes, is advised by retained agents JLL and Williams Sillitoe.
