Formerly operating as a day nursery with a registration for 24 children, the business had ceased trading and was offered with vacant possession. Consequently, there was a wide spread of interest amongst developers, retailers and the medical profession as well as child care operators, not least as the property afforded the opportunity to create owners accommodation at first floor level and benefited from off road parking and a large garden with rear access.
Sold off a quoting price of £195,000, Ian Palmer, Divisional Director commented that, “The purchaser to whom we sold the property has an individual and exciting idea for the premises and over the coming months we will hopefully see this character building returned back to its best. There was no shortage of interest from the moment Northbourne House was placed up for sale and ultimately it was a relatively trouble free transaction”.
