A Dorset accountancy firm has become a trusted adviser to Europe’s largest voluntary conservation organisation.
Nick Love, a Partner with chartered accountants and business advisers Princecroft Willis (PcW), has joined The National Trust’s Executive Advisory Panel for Dorset.
The newly established panel is helping to examine and comment on the charity’s draft business plans and proposals for the Bournemouth area.
It is also providing valuable input on raising the profile of the Trust locally, suggesting ways to increase membership and encouraging more people to visit National Trust properties and land in Dorset.
Nick, who specialises in advising PcW clients in the charity and not-for-profit sector, said he was looking forward to contributing to The National Trust’s continuing success in Dorset.
He added: “Through our work with 130 charity and not for profit clients, we believe we have a lot of experience to bring to the table with the Trust.
“National Trust membership provides great value for money access to heritage properties, beaches and open spaces both locally and nationally.
“We’ll do all we can to assist the Trust to further raise its profile in Dorset as well as build ever closer links with the local business community,” said Nick.
Elaine Arnold, the Trust’s Business Development Manager for Bournemouth and Poole, said Nick was a welcome addition to the Executive Advisory Panel which comprises several prominent businessmen and women.
“We are so pleased to be working with Nick and Princecroft Willis along with David Parfitt, Senior Partner at Coles Miller Solicitors; Neil Lewis, Vice President at Barclays Wealth and Terence O’Rourke, who are generously giving their time to support our work across Dorset,” she added.
The National Trust was founded in 1895 with the aim of saving the nation’s heritage and open spaces. It now looks after more than 248,000 hectares (612,000 acres) of countryside in England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as almost 600 miles of coastline and more than 200 buildings and gardens of outstanding interest and importance.
Membership of The National Trust currently stands at 4m people. The only organisation in the UK to have a larger membership is the AA.
PcW is the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisers in Dorset and the New Forest with nine partners and more than 100 team members. The firm has offices in Poole and New Milton.
