Property consultant Eddisons has appointed Richard Prior as a director within its growing building and project consultancy team.
Joining Eddisons after seven years with Lambert Smith Hampton’s Leeds office, where he was a director, Richard will be responsible for professional services activity within Eddisons’ building and project consultancy team.
Ian Harrington, who heads the firm’s 35-strong building and project consultancy division, said: “The work we do within the team has grown exponentially in recent years, especially as we have built up our education sector expertise to become the go-to provider of support for academy trusts on applications for improvement projects via the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF). We more than doubled our successful CIF bids last year to £50m nationally, up from £20m in 2019 and we’re tremendously proud of that track record.”
He added: “We’re excited to have Richard joining us to lead the team who work with Eddisons’ corporate clients. The pandemic has shifted the landscape of the workplace with social distancing measures and increased working from home and we are making it a priority to help our clients navigate these uncertain times with continued advice and support on maximising the value of their property, whether they are owners, occupiers or developers.”
Richard Prior said: “It’s fantastic to be joining Eddisons at an exciting time in the firm’s rapid growth and development. The skills I gained in my role with Lambert Smith Hampton will be invaluable in helping me to advise businesses right across the spectrum, whether on their offices, retail premises, industrial or manufacturing sites, or leisure and entertainment venues.”
Eddisons is a firm of chartered surveyors founded in Huddersfield by William Eddison in 1851. The firm now employs more than 300 people at 20 offices across the UK. It was acquired by Begbies Traynor in 2014.
