Argent has secured a letting at Eleven Brindleyplace to national multidisciplinary consultancy Capita Symonds.
Capita Symonds, which is the property and infrastructure division of Capita, has signed a 10 year lease for 5,700 sq ft of Grade A space on the first floor of the award-winning building and will be relocating from its existing Birmingham premises at York House, Great Charles Street and Quadrant Court, Edgbaston.
Operating across a number of sectors, including design, infrastructure, management and real estate, Capita Symonds employs over 4,000 people in more than 50 offices across the UK and Ireland.
Construction cost management consultancy Northcroft, which was acquired by Capita Symonds in March this year, will also move to Eleven Brindleyplace. This will be the first time that all Birmingham staff from both businesses will be based in the same office, offering an exceptional portfolio of professional services and an increased technical resource.
Steven Handley, Divisional Director, Capita Symonds said: “Eleven Brindleyplace offers a number of creative features for occupiers, such as the integrated reception and Meetingspace facilities, which have enabled us to reduce both our floor space requirements and general overheads.
“As a location, Brindleyplace is an outstanding estate, offering a prestigious business address, excellent facilities and great transport links. For us, Argent’s practical and flexible approach in tailor making a proposal that not only worked financially, but also responded to our tight relocation timescale, set Eleven Brindleyplace far apart from its competitors. The bright, open floorplate will allow us to have all the 60+ strong team working together on one floor within this landmark building.”
Eleven Brindleyplace features a number of innovations, including the building’s Meetingspace, which offers state-of-the-art internally-managed meeting room facilities, including a stylish business lounge, which is open to use by all building tenants.
James Heather, Senior Project Director, Argent, said: “Eleven Brindleyplace has been designed from the ground-up to cater specifically to the needs of occupiers looking for smaller floorplates and is currently the only new-build BREEAM Excellent building in Birmingham to offer Grade A space from 2,600 sq ft.
“We work hard to fully understand our potential tenants requirements in order for us to deliver the right solution for their business going forward. We have seen our existing tenants expand into their space and make use of not only the building’s facilities but also the amenities on the wider Brindleyplace estate and we look forward to welcoming the Capita Symonds’ team to Eleven Brindleyplace next month.”
Capita Symonds is currently engaged in a number of projects across the West Midlands, including provision of project management for the Library of Birmingham development and a range of design services on the £286m Wolverhampton BSF programme.
Capita Symonds will be moving into the new offices in early December and will be joining existing occupiers including Friend LLP, Robert Walters, the West Midlands headquarters of the Institute of Directors, Argent and Colliers International at Eleven Brindleyplace, which is located opposite the recently rebranded Hilton Garden Inn on the Brindleyplace estate.
Argent was advised on the letting by joint letting agents GVA and GBR Phoenix Beard.
