IT specialists Infrastar Ltd have taken a five-year lease on new offices in Kingsway Business Park, owned by developer Robert Hitchins Ltd.
The combination of an expanding business and the new Covid-19 rules meant that Infrastar needed a lot more space.
Their new offices in Avionics House, Newhaven Road, provided that – six times over.
“I wanted to make sure everyone felt safe at work,” said CEO Glen Griffin who set up Infrastar in 2017.
“We love the fact that we can open the windows here, and it’s a really pleasant and comfortable place to be – near the A38 and close to some good shops. Our staff can opt to work from home but they’re choosing to come into the office. It’s given us all a new lease of life.”
His team of 45 staff and associates provide specialist computer networking and infrastructure expertise to clients all over the UK. The company’s partners include computer giant Dell and AI experts Nvidia.
As a former RAF man, Glen is delighted that extensively-refurbished Avionics House was once part of the former RAF Quedgeley.
“I like the fact that we’re working in the former station commander’s office where Nicky Clough worked as his PA – Nicky is the wife of one of Infrastar’s associates,” he said.
Asset Manager for Robert Hitchins Ltd, Karen Vaughan-Edwards, welcomed Infrastar to Kingsway.
“The recent refurbishment of Avionics House, its parking facilities and its position close to the A38 and M5, as well as to the recently opened Lidl and B&M, a busy local centre, pubs, restaurants and hotels all contribute to making Kingsway a great place to work,” she said.
