Savills has expanded its building & project consultancy team with the appointment of James Wilkins who joins as a director at the firm’s Margaret Street head office in London.
James has more than 10 years’ experience in the property industry as a project manager. He joins Savills from independent consultancy Tower Eight where he was an account director responsible for projects including the £450 million high end residential and mixed-use scheme at New Scotland Yard, Quintain’s Wembley Park development, The Arts Club Residences, the conversion of office space into a luxury hotel in Mayfair, and the creation of the Lanesborough Club & Spa, linked to the major refurbishment of the Lanesborough Hotel. Prior to this he also held positions at Gardiner & Theobald and Turner & Townsend.
At Savills James will join the London project management team, leading a push into the alternatives sector primarily focusing on residential build-to-rent, hotels, healthcare and senior living.
James Wilkins, director in the building & project consultancy team, comments: “I am very much looking forward to the challenge of further developing the team’s project management capability within the alternatives sector and collaborating closely with teams across Savills.”
Paul Davies, head of the London project management team, adds: “We are very pleased to welcome James to Savills. His experience and expertise in the alternatives sector will undoubtedly help to boost this important growth area for the division. As a business we are fortunate to have an award winning alternatives team and I look forward to building & project consultancy being an even greater part of this best in class offer.”
