Global property investment company, LabTech, has announced the appointment of Farebrother and Cushman & Wakefield as leasing agents for 200,000 sq ft of office space within Victoria House, Holborn’s Grade II listed building overlooking Bloomsbury Square.
Victoria House is only a few minutes’ walk from Holborn Tube station, and is ideally positioned for businesses from all sectors, situated between The City and West End. Having undergone a complete transformation, Victoria House now provides a stylish reception lobby, ground floor break out areas and upper floor terraces, with access to seating and stunning views across the capital. It is also just a short distance from Covent Garden and the vibrant Bloomsbury quarter.
The 11-storey building also contains 80,000 sq ft of space for events, retail and hospitality that runs across the basement, ground and mezzanine floors. The additional space includes two available units on Southampton Row opposite Sicilian Avenue and the proposed luxury hotel by Grange Global Hotels. Works at Victoria House are due to be fully complete by summer 2021.
Victoria House addresses the issue of flexibility of space that today’s occupiers want, offering a variety of options from traditional long-term leases, to offices tailored to occupiers’ individual requirements, to LABS’ fully managed solution.
Yaron Shahar, LabTech CEO, commented: “Victoria House is the most iconic office development in our portfolio and the appointment of Farebrother and Cushman & Wakefield, with their joint expertise and complete offer of advisory services, are ideal for securing the right tenants. Victoria House offers exceptional quality workspaces at one of London’s most sought-after locations and is ideal for a wide range of companies”.
Andy Tyler, London Office Leasing, Cushman & Wakefield, added: “The flexibility of design, space and functionality at Victoria House is a very exciting and appealing aspect for clients looking to take modern office space in the capital. The office market has been unsurprisingly challenged in the current climate, however, workspace options with amenities to support employee health and wellbeing are now more important than ever and Victoria House is the ideal solution to bridge this gap in the market. We look forward to working as a team and using our joint experience to market the building to businesses across the capital.”
Alistair Subba Row, Leasing & Development, Partner at Farebrother, also said: “As we move forward into 2021, many occupiers are reappraising their business needs and are now looking for core space with added flexibility, and without the long-term liability. We are confident many occupiers will right-size themselves into new innovative workplaces focusing on connectivity of space. Victoria House is a unique building which for the very first time in Midtown, will address all the needs of the modern-day occupier under one roof. We look forward to working with the team to launch this iconic space to the market.”
The announcement follows news earlier this year that LabTech welcomed two new occupiers to Victoria House.
