Three firms have expanded into new premises at i2 Mansfield, a modern office development situated on the hugely successful and well established Oakham Business Park.
i2 Mansfield is located two miles south-west of the town centre, and provides easy access to the M1/A38 as well as the new Mansfield and Ashfield regeneration route.
Scott Osborne from Innes England assisted the landlords in negotiating the three new tenancies, totalling 5,600 sq ft.
Scott said: “i2 is one of the highest quality office spaces available in the East Midlands at the moment, not surprising when you consider that it is next to the hugely successful Mansfield i-centre.
“The firms moving to i2 include Svenska Handelbanken which delivers personal banking services, Shoebou a supplier of women’s footwear and bksb which produces educational software tutorials.
“The three new tenancy arrangements took place in quick succession and will bring a new pool of talent to the development.”
Helen Gordon, regional manager at Network Space said: “We are delighted to welcome the new tenants to i2, and with strong interest in the remaining space we hope to have further deals to report imminently.”
Thomas Stevens, executive director of capital projects at West Nottinghamshire College, the parent company of bksb, said: “We provide IT programmes that students can use at home to improve their literacy and numeracy skills. The move to i2 was driven by the company’s rapid growth, which saw us outgrow our old premises. i2 offered us everything that we were looking for, including good quality affordable office accommodation.
“Moving to i2 has improved our office environment. It is allowing us to work more collectively, which in business terms means that we have more scope and capacity. Hopefully in the future we will be in the position to take on more staff.
“We’ve seen a growing demand for our product. More people than ever before are buying tutorial software packages to further their education. It’s a growing division of the educational market, especially among international clients.”
Scott from Innes England added: “The location of i2 is so popular because it offers everything that a growing firm needs, but without the maintenance issues. This includes conference room facilities, a managed reception area, kitchenette facilities to selected offices, and CCTV with gate access controls. For those firms interested in their green credential, i2 is has also achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.”
