A Surveyor from the Newcastle office of Cushman & Wakefield has been named Young Surveyor of the Year in the Commercial Property category at the RICS Matrics 2020 Awards.
Gagan Jagpal, who is a Senior Surveyor in the Capital Markets team at Cushman & Wakefield, scooped the prestigious national title in the Commercial Property category of the awards which were announced in an online ceremony last week.
Gagan, who is from Newcastle joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Graduate programme in 2015 after completing a degree in Real Estate from Northumbria University.
He was singled out by the RICS judges for being “a model professional who is dedicated to his career, he often goes above and beyond and is highly regarded by his clients.”
He was also commended for playing a key role in Cushman & Wakefield’s ‘Futures Network’ and acting as a role model to junior colleagues.
More recently he was involved in a complex sale & leaseback project for a major NHS Trust which he successfully delivered in a 4-week timeframe and has also played an instrumental role in driving forward the development of Cushman & Wakefield’s national PRS (Private Rented Sector) service line.
Gagan Jagpal said: “It’s an honour to have been nominated by both clients and colleagues for this award, I’m greatly appreciative of all those who have helped me develop since leaving University and to Cushman & Wakefield for their excellent graduate scheme and young surveyor development program. I’m looking forward to continuing my career in Real Estate and hope to build on this further.”
