Royal London Asset Management’s (RLAM) One New York Street in Manchester city centre has achieved WiredScore Platinum status, the highest rating awarded by the international scheme, meaning the building’s broadband and telecom infrastructure is amongst the best in the country.
WiredScore provides transparency on the infrastructure, digital connectivity, and technological capacity of real estate, helping developers and landlords to achieve best-in-class connectivity while providing greater transparency for occupiers about the technological infrastructure of a building.
One New York Street was commended for its three unique fibre providers to aid tenant connectivity, diverse points of entry to enable incoming service provider cabling, secure and dedicated space for service provider equipment, diverse riser pathways to protect against potential service disruption, tenant connectivity guide to help streamline installation, and climate-controlled telecommunication rooms throughout the building.
Conor Walmsley from Colliers International said: “One New York Street was designed to create the most impressive working environment within Manchester city centre, so to be awarded a Platinum rating from WiredScore for digital connectivity is further evidence of Royal London’s commitment to delivering on that promise.
“According to WiredScore, internet is among the top three most important factors for tenants when searching for new office space. Digital connectivity has never been more important, so to be able to offer reassurance to tenants that One New York Street delivers some of the highest quality internet connectivity in the city gives us great pride and will enable us to continue supporting our occupiers’ businesses today, and well into the future.”
One New York Street provides Grade ‘A’ contemporary office space from 800 sq ft across 13 floors and boasts on-site amenities including business lounge, concierge reception, newly installed high-quality shower/cycle hub facilities, and EV charging points. The building is home to CNA Hardy, Marks & Clerk, Turley, AECOM, DC Advisory, Johnson Controls, and The Alchemist, which occupies the ground floor.
