The Caerphilly Business Forum has announced the shortlist for this year’s Caerphilly Business Awards.
A wide spectrum of businesses entered the awards with each category being whittled down to three finalists. The award winners will be announced at the annual award ceremony, celebrating the best of Caerphilly business, at Llancaiach Fawr Manor on Friday 23rd November.
There are eight categories in total, including; New Business of the Year, Young Business of the Year, Business of the Year (25 employees or fewer), Business of the Year (more than 25 employees), Young Achiever, Women in Business, Contribution to Rural Economy and Social Enterprise of the Year.
Tony Sheehan, Chief Executive of Caerphilly Business Forum, said: “This year the standard of entries was higher than ever. It really was extremely difficult for our team of judges to narrow the entrants down to three per category.
“We were particularly pleased with the number of entries to our three new categories; New Business of the Year, sponsored by Business in Focus; Social Enterprise of the Year, sponsored by South East Wales Community Economic Development and the Contribution to the Rural Economy, supported by Caerffili Cwm a Mynydd.”
The winners of each of these eight categories will then be put forward for the Premier Award, sponsored by Broomfield and Alexander.
Tickets are still available for the award ceremony which is being hosted by BBC star, Frances Donavan. The full list of finalists is available on the Forum’s website http://www.cbforum.co.uk/awards-2012-finalists-are-announced/ and tickets can be purchased by emailing [email protected] .
