A Nottingham property developer has scooped a prestigious prize at the annual Bricks Awards
ALB Investments, which has made its name converting large, disused buildings into residential and commercial properties, achieved top spot in the ‘Developer of the Year’ category at the East Midlands Bricks Awards – an annual initiative run by online magazine, East Midlands Business Link.
The Developer award, which was sponsored by Swadlincote-based waste management firm, Ward Recycling, is always very hotly contested and Arran Bailey, Managing Director at ALB Investments, is clearly thrilled with the win.
He said: “Our team works fantastically hard – not just to source projects and communities that warrant our time and investment, but to generate buildings that provide sustainable commercial value, while providing flats and apartments that people are proud to call home.”
The Bricks Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate high-calibre development projects and noteworthy people involved in commercial and public construction in the east midlands.
Originally scheduled to take place at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, the revised awards ceremony was held via an online portal for the first time since the event’s inception.
Arran, whose firm beat off stiff competition to take the prize ahead of runner up, Henry Davidson Developments, added: “From day to day, we get a strong sense that the work we do is highly valued. We get that through feedback from our commercial tenants, from private residents and from established members of the communities our developments help serve.
“But this award is fresh and very welcome confirmation that we’re on exactly the right track – and with plenty more developments currently underway in the east midlands and the north, I’m happy to say that there is likely to be a lot more good news to come in 2021.”
