A large site that used to house a car auctions business near Birmingham city centre has been sold to an expanding further education college, thanks to Siddall Jones.
The leading commercial property agents arranged the off-market deal that saw Joseph Chamberlain College buy the former Birmingham Car Auctions site on Moseley Road for £1,475,000.
The 1.7 acre site was sold on behalf of MJ & K Properties and will be used by Joseph Chamberlain College for educational purposes.
Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones, said: “The property generated significant interest due to the lack of available yard space within close proximity of the city centre.
“We are pleased to have sold to the site to Joseph Chamberlain College in the knowledge the site will be used for educational purposes.
“The immediate area is dominated by the college and I am looking forward to seeing their plans for the site and the redevelopment of the wider area.”
MJ & K Properties was advised by Rollason Solicitors, and Shoosmiths acted for Joseph Chamberlain College. Property agents Vail Williams advised Joseph Chamberlain.
Siddall Jones, which has offices in Birmingham and Dudley, was launched by Ed Siddall-Jones in 2012 and has grown steadily from one office to two and from one member of staff to six.
This year it beat off competition from major international and regional firms to be named Most Active Agent in the West Midlands in 2020 in the Radius Data Exchange survey produced in conjunction with EG, the commercial property market magazine.
