Admiral Group is continuing to expand its operations in Swansea allowing it to create 200 jobs in the city.
The news follows the announcement that Admiral, which already employs over 1,600 in Swansea, is to lease offices on Swansea Vale from the Welsh Government.
The company is to occupy 40,000ft² at Swansea Vale which will allow it to accommodate 600 members of staff.
Head of Property at Admiral Group, Huw Llewellyn, said, “The expansion into Swansea Vale commits Admiral further to the Swansea area allowing us to continue to employ locally based people. This, alongside our continued growth in our Cardiff and Newport offices, strengthens our ongoing commitment to South Wales.”
Business Minister Edwina Hart has welcomed the news and described Admiral Group as a flagship operation for Wales.
“Admiral is a strategically important company that makes a significant contribution to the Welsh economy. I am delighted to hear that it is again expanding its operations allowing it to create new jobs.
“The Welsh Government has worked closely with Admiral Group since it opened its first centre in Cardiff in 1993 and has continued to support its growth. I am pleased the Welsh Government was able to help facilitate this expansion which is great news for Swansea.”

Admiral employs 4,332 people in Wales – 1,627 in Swansea – at the Admiral Group House and Ellipse buildings on SA1, 2,297 in Cardiff and 408 in Newport.
