Clarkson Evans, the UK’s leading electrical contractor for new homes, has purchased three and a half acres of land on Anson Business Park, Gloucestershire. The land was formerly occupied by Dowty Propellers and is positioned next to Cheltenham Road East, one of the main routes connecting Gloucester and Cheltenham. The newly acquired site is next door to Clarkson Evans’ existing premises at Anson Business Park, which form part of the company’s current headquarters, along with offices nearby at Meteor Business Park.
The deal was brokered by James Gregory, Partner at property consultants Alder King, and is part of a long-term plan to house all of Clarkson Evans’ HQ operations in one place.
Leigh Mason, Technical Director at Clarkson Evans, says: “Acquiring a new site that is large enough to accommodate all of our head office functions has until now proved difficult. When this plot of land finally became available it was too good an opportunity to miss. While our current trading conditions remain very difficult due to the economic impact of Covid-19, we managed to secure funding to allow us to proceed with the purchase. It’s likely to be a while before we’re able to proceed with constructing a new purpose built HQ but nevertheless it puts the company in a good position for the future.”
