The striking Bristol & Bath Science Park is offering itself to film and television producers as a shooting location.
This follows its film debut as a location in the forthcoming film The Other Wife featuring leading British actor Rupert Everett and Four Weddings and a Funeral star, John Hannah. Based on a book by Rosamunde Pilcher, the film is destined for release in Germany where the Science Park, which celebrated its first anniversary in September, will appear before an audience of millions in its role as a stylish airport terminal.
The Science Park hopes its cutting edge design, particularly in the impressive floor to ceiling glass fronted Forum building, complete with curving staircases and contemporary interiors, will attract interest from other film makers.
The first buildings on the 59 acre site near Emerson’s Green are now listed for prospective producers as a ‘modern 21st century corporate space’ on the South Gloucestershire Council Film Location database.

“But people don’t have to wait to see the Park on film, they’re welcome to come and see it for themselves. The Forum is open to the public, so visitors can experience the design, facilities and atmosphere of a building that has been created to inspire, excite and encourage collaboration.”
The Bristol & Bath Science Park is a hub for the region’s many science and technology businesses; connecting entrepreneurs, growing businesses and established brands to investors, academia and design. It provides the perfect environment for collaboration between businesses and universities to accelerate the commercial application of new technologies.
The first phase of the Science Park is comprised of three buildings which opened in September 2011: The Forum, Innovation Centre and Grow On centre. The Forum, with its 11,000 sq ft glass atrium provides a social heart for the park with space to meet, eat, collaborate and network. The first available space in the Innovation Centre is now fully let with work underway to fit out a second floor. Following recent deals with three international science and technology-based companies, the Grow On centre is now 85% let.
