Cushman & Wakefield, the leading global real estate services firm, has appointed Barbara Koreniouguine as Head of France.
Koreniouguine’s career prior to Cushman & Wakefield includes serving as CEO of Allianz Real Estate France, leading the business in France and Benelux, with executive responsibility for acquisitions, asset management and property management across a portfolio of assets worth €7.6billion. She was most recently Managing Director of Leon Grosse Immobilier, an office, residential and hotel developer.
She has also held senior leadership positions at BNP Paribas Real Estate where she served as Deputy Managing Director at BNP Paribas Real Estate Residential and Corporate Property and Executive Chairman at BNP Paribas Real Estate Commercial and Residential Development, as well as Icade Group, one of France’s largest REITs, where she spent 10 years.
Koreniouguine is also a former Chair of the Cercle des Femmes de l’Immobilier, the women’s real estate network in France, a role she held for five years.
She will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of Cushman & Wakefield’s business in France, which was strengthened earlier in the year with the strategic acquisition of leading design & build contractor Réponse. This added an in-house design & build capability to the firm’s existing range of services which include Agency, Asset Services, Capital Markets, Development, Hospitality, Occupier Services and Valuation & Advisory.
Koreniouguine succeeds Antoine Derville who led Cushman & Wakefield France from 2013.
Colin Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, EMEA, said: “Barbara brings a wealth of operational, strategic and managerial experience to our French business, while her longstanding commitment to furthering diversity and inclusion in our industry is also a perfect fit for Cushman & Wakefield. I look forward to working closely with her to deliver exceptional performance for our clients and colleagues in France.
“I would like to thank Antoine for his contribution to the firm, leading the expansion of our French business over the last seven years including our global merger in 2015 and more recently through the acquisition of Réponse.”
Barbara Koreniouguine, Head of Cushman & Wakefield France, said: “It’s an honour to take up this position with Cushman & Wakefield which is at the forefront of value-adding insight and advice. This has never been in greater demand from real estate occupiers and owners than in this current period of economic and social change.”
