Cambridge-based property developer and investor Howard Group is delighted to welcome innovative fitness providers, Bridge, to Unity Campus. Terms have been agreed on units 11 and 12 Langford Arch, Unity Campus, totalling 3,000 sq ft.
Unity Campus is ideally positioned within the fast-paced Cambridge life science and technology cluster. It sits in a prime location close to public transport links (Whittlesford Parkway station is under a mile away), community activities and amenities in nearby Sawston, cycle networks into central Cambridge and some of the region’s most affordable housing. This combination of accessibility from a travel and amenity perspective sets it apart from other business and R&D park locations in the cluster.
Bridge’s arrival at Unity Campus will add an exceptional, bespoke health and fitness amenity on site, accessible to both occupiers and the wider community. An innovative fitness provider, offering one on one and small group exercise sessions, Bridge’s highly experienced and diverse team of personal trainers span a wide range of disciplines from functional training and strength building to weight loss, posture improvement and rehabilitation. Complimentary therapies, including osteopathy, will also be available. Bridge sets itself apart from larger gym operators through its ongoing commitment to each individual; in-depth initial consultations ensure the right choice of personal trainer and regular update sessions ensure objectives and goals are being met and exceeded.
Bridge’s commitment to bespoke training has also caught the attention of professional athletes, resulting in it being appointed as official trainers to Cambridge City Ladies football club earlier this year.
The Bridge training model of one on one and small group training is also ideally suited to our current socially distanced environment; distinct training slots agreed in advance ensure numbers on site will be monitored to maintain appropriately distanced training spaces for each client.
Colin Brown, Director – Development, Howard Group said: “I am thrilled that Bridge is joining the Unity Campus community. Having such a high quality health and fitness provision on site is a fantastic addition, not only for our Campus occupiers but also the wider Sawston community too. Hugh and Caroline’s bespoke training model is a superb fit with our current occupier base, particularly the likes of Cuttsy+Cuttsy and GetBusy based within The Works, whose teams are particularly focused on the integration of fitness and wellbeing as a part of their daily routines.
“Health and wellbeing is an increasingly common thread in my conversations with prospective occupiers and I believe it’s a cultural shift that is here to stay. I am now more acutely aware of the running, cycling and other training opportunities in the area and running out of excuses not to be in top shape myself!”
Caroline Grant, Founder, Bridge commented: “We are delighted to be involved and now associated with Unity Campus. Bridge has been operating successfully from our city centre premises for the last five years, and over that time we have put together a highly experienced team of Personal Trainers, offering a totally diverse set of skills. In addition to the one on one sessions, we will be offering a range of services including pilates, yoga and barre classes. This brand new studio will be kitted out with state of the art equipment and will offer a private and safe environment, which has always been paramount to Bridge Fitness.”
Subject to the necessary local authority approvals, landlord works to configure the space will take approximately 12 weeks with Bridge Fitness expected to welcome its first clients on site from February 2021.
