As part of a raft of promotions across its UK offices, property consultant Eddisons has promoted Peterborough-based Rory Addison Smith to director.
Joining the firm in 2019 as part of Barker Storey Matthews, which was acquired by Eddisons in April last year, Rory is developing the commercial arm of Eddisons’ building and project consultancy division. He has delivered a large number of schemes involving commercial premises, mainly in the office and industrial sectors.
“Building and project consultancy is a fast-growing area of the business for us, not just in London and the South and East of England, but right across the UK,” said Rory. “We have built a really strong team on the commercial side, with expertise in essential services such as pre-acquisition due diligence and dilapidations, as well as design and specification and project management. As a result we’re fast becoming a first port of call for property owners and occupiers who need cost-effective expert advice.”
Eddisons’ 30-strong UK building and project consultancy team also specialises in working with academy trusts to obtain government funding for school refurbishment projects. This year the team secured £40m of funding for school projects under the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) programme, as well as delivering the projects on the ground.
Across the firm Eddisons has made six promotions this month, including creating four new directors.
