When a severe fire ripped through their original factory on the Dudley Central Trading Estate in the early hours of 12 July, the directors of Dove Steel Doors Ltd turned to Black Country industrial property specialists Siddall Jones.
Within days, managing director Ed Siddall-Jones had found them a new 14,000 sq ft base at Albion Works, Moor Street in Brierley Hill.
Mr Siddall-Jones said: “There is currently a severe shortage of available industrial stock in the Black Country and the West Midlands generally, but fortunately the directors of Dove Steel Doors had been in touch with me previously about a move.
“At that time there wasn’t a unit of the right size available at Albion Works, so it was extremely fortunate that when they called, we had the right building at the right time to accommodate them quickly.”
Olivia Powell, new accounts manager at Dove Steel Doors Ltd, said Siddall Jones were “brilliant”.
“We had continued to work, with appropriate safeguarding, during the pandemic lockdown, so it was essential that we maintained production and delivery of orders. With Ed Siddall-Jones’ help we were back up and running in the shortest possible time.”
Established in 2008, Dove Steel Doors Ltd provides specialist steel doors fabricated to order and now employs 30 staff.
Ed Siddall-Jones said: “We are the sole agents for Albion Works and landlord Wilson Property, and it was gratifying to be able to help Dove Steel Doors Ltd get back up and running with the minimum of delay.
“The West Midlands industrial market is performing well, despite the pandemic, and we are desperate for new stock.”
