Owners at Upton Business Centre have been granted planning permission by Malvern Hills District Council to increase the site by 2 acres.
The expansion amounts to a 50% increase in lettable space at the Centre which is in Welland Road, Upton. Planning permission has been granted for a secure compound extending to approximately 70,000 sq ft. Smaller secure compounds from 15,000 sq ft are available.
Current tenants include national companies such as Greenthumb Lawn Treatment Services, RSK Raw Ltd which specialises in pollution response and BR Hodgson Ltd which supplies key services to the construction industry. One of the main advantages of the site is its secured hard surface yard area which provides ample storage for materials and equipment. There are no working hours limitations at the site.
There are currently 9 units at Upton Business Centre and a further 31 at Link Business Centre in Malvern, with both centres being operated by father and son Martin and Mark Wilesmith.
Martin Wilesmith said ‘We have already received a number of enquiries to take up space on this new extension which is ideal for general industry use. Upton Business Centre has excellent motorway links to the M50 and M5 and it is a popular location for expanding businesses. There is plenty of open space available and it is a well-maintained site with high levels of security. We have the flexibility to respond quickly and can tailor the premises to our client’s requirements.’
