The Howard de Walden Estate has appointed Laura Jockers as its Head of Sustainability. She will be responsible for developing the business’s sustainability strategy across its business operations and £4.6bn of assets in London’s Marylebone.
Mark Kildea, interim Chief Executive at The Howard de Walden Estate, commented: “Laura’s appointment further strengthens the business’s commitment to its environmental objectives. It follows the appointment of Ashley Cox as Head of Customer Engagement, and is part of an ongoing strategy to improve all sustainability, community and regulatory aspects of the Estate’s operations”.
Laura joins from JLL where she was Global Sustainability and Research Lead. Prior to this, she worked as an Associate Director in JLL’s Upstream Sustainability Services Team.
She took up her post on September 1st and comments: “The Howard de Walden Estate is a unique environment and one of the most diverse collections of buildings in London. I’m looking forward to working with the team to develop an ambitious sustainability strategy which strengthens our commercial position alongside delivering long lasting benefit to the community of occupiers and residents we serve.
“Defining our pathway to net zero carbon and supporting our communities adapt to Covid-19 will be key focus points this year.”
The Howard de Walden Estate encompasses 92 acres of London’s West End and includes Marylebone High Street – one of London’s prime shopping and leisure locations – and also the world-famous Harley Street Medical Area.
