Worcester-based agent Halls has appointed a graduate surveyor to support its growing client base.
Luke Weaver will join Halls’ commercial agency department and will be involved in the leasing and selling of all types of commercial property.
Luke, aged 27, from Droitwich, recently completed a master’s degree in Real Estate Management at Birmingham City University.
Luke said: “After working in London, I was keen to come back to the Midlands area and to be offered a position with a company such as Halls with its strong reputation, both locally and regionally, is the perfect fit
“Although I begin my property career during a tricky time in the market I am excited by what lies ahead and feel that Halls is well placed for the future. I’m looking forward to developing my skills and achieving my professional qualifications, and the multi-disciplinary nature of the business will allow me to gain the necessary experience I need.
The graduate, who plays second row for Worcester Wanderers RFC and went to school at The King’s School in the city, previously worked in the marketing and PR industry in London for clients such as Umbro and Tiger Beer.
Rob Champion, partner at Halls Commercial, said: “We chose Luke from a large pool of applicants and his extremely personable character and clear drive to pursue a career in commercial property set him apart from the rest.
“Property consultancy is very much a people business and Luke’s polite, yet forthright, manner will stand him in good stead for a career in this industry. While the market remains challenging, we have been extremely busy on the commercial side and Luke’s arrival will help us to maintain the high level of service that we aim to provide to our clients.”
Keen to progress further within the company, Luke is now working towards becoming a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Halls Commercial provides specialist commercial property services to a wide range of clients throughout the Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and wider Midlands region.
