The east coast commercial agency of Allied Surveyors Scotland is revealing a clutch of post-lockdown property deals and reports increased levels of demand since restrictions were lifted.
A 5-year lease has been agreed with Supporting Positive Paths CIC who have snapped up a 764 sq ft office at 2A Hopetoun Street after only two weeks on the market.
Elsewhere in Leith an office investment at 23/2 Mitchell Street has been sold for £242,500, reflecting a net initial yield of 8.19%, to a private investor.
In North Berwick, cyber security experts Trustify have taken a 5-year lease on an office in Forth Street Lane from Zest Capital Management at a rental of £11,500 per annum.
“These transactions are a positive sign that despite the threat posed by coronavirus, businesses are back out seeking their next premises,” commented director of commercial agency (east), Iain Mercer.
“In the last 6 weeks we have experienced high levels of enquiries for office, industrial and retail premises.”
In Haddington, meanwhile, social care experts Call-In Homecare have taken an additional office at Haddington House making them the building’s largest occupier.
The company now leases over 800 sq ft from landlord’s Lamp of Lothian who earlier this year completed a major six-figure refurbishment of the A-listed building in the town’s Sidegate.
